CARPL.ai Raises $10 Million from IFC to Push Healthcare AI Adoption

Healthtech startup CARPL.ai has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by the International Finance Corporation, with participation from Stellaris Venture Partners and other investors. The company plans to use the funding to strengthen its technology stack, accelerate product development, and expand its global sales and delivery teams.

CARPL.ai operates in the medical imaging AI space, where it provides a platform for hospitals and imaging centers to deploy, manage, and scale radiology AI applications from multiple vendors. The company says its platform helps healthcare providers adopt AI more safely and practically, which is important in a sector where trust, workflow integration, and clinical reliability matter as much as technology itself.

This round is significant because it reflects investor confidence in the infrastructure layer of healthcare AI, not just in individual diagnostic models. By sitting between AI vendors and healthcare institutions, CARPL.ai is positioning itself as a platform play, which can be more scalable than building a single-purpose product.

The involvement of IFC also adds weight to the deal. Backing from the World Bank Group’s private sector arm often signals interest in solutions with broad healthcare impact and global scalability, especially in markets where medical infrastructure needs better digital tools. For CARPL.ai, that could help open more enterprise partnerships and international opportunities.

The startup already appears to have meaningful traction. Reports say it hosts hundreds of AI applications from a large set of vendors and serves hospitals and medical centres across multiple markets, suggesting it has moved beyond an early concept phase. A reported earlier seed round in 2023 also indicates that this Series A builds on an existing funding history rather than being the company’s first major institutional raise.

Why this matters

CARPL.ai’s funding is newsworthy because healthcare AI is moving from hype to operational adoption, and platforms that make deployment easier are becoming especially valuable. If the company can help hospitals use AI without adding complexity, it could become an important enabler in the broader digital health ecosystem. The next phase will likely depend on whether it can scale internationally while maintaining clinical quality and vendor neutrality.
